Nissan Maxima Wins Quality Ratings

Today's Sydney Morning Herald newspaper featured a report on new car quality in its 'Drive' section. The survey of Australian New Car Buyers was independently carried out on behalf of the motor industry by ACNielsen research.

The survey reports the percentage of new cars that had no faults reported.  Maxima was the clear winner of the large car category with 79%, a clear winner over the next best car, the Toyota Camry, a full fourteen points behind.  The survey results have strongly reinforced all the complimentary motoring press and customer feedback that the Maxima receives.  The survey has shown how strongly Maxima dominates this market for quality.

1. Nissan Maxima - 79
2. Toyota Camry - 64
3. Honda Accord - 64
4. Mitsubishi 380 - 63
5. Hyundai Grandeur - 60
    Average - 58
6. Holden Commodore - 53
7. Ford Falcon - 49
