Nissan Navara 4x4 - best selling 4x4 in Australia so far this year!

It's official, the Nissan Navara 4x4 is the best selling 4x4 vehicle in Australia as at YTD end of May, 2007!

The 4x4 utility segment is one of the fastest growing vehicle sales segments in the country and Navara leads the field with a total of 9,499 sales in the first 5 months of 2007.  Additionally, Navara not only leads the 4x4 utility segment, it also leads the overall Four Wheel Drive vehicle sales for the year.

The Navara's 198kW V6 petrol engine and 126kW turbo diesel engine deliver class leading torque and a whopping 3,000kg maximum towing capacity (trailer with brakes).   Navara delivers all this power and torque via a smooth shifting 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.

The D40 RX model has a very high level of equipment and appeals expecially to the fleet market while the stylish ST-X with standard features such as cruise control, Six-stacker CD player, 16 inch alloy wheels, ABS brakes, and child seat anchor points  delivers strongly on what customers in this market are asking for.   Many Australians are consolidating what may have been multiple vehicle requiremnts into one vehciles and an increasing number of them want a vehicle that can perform many different tasks - a true utility.

Nissan have recently successfullys ecured increased D40 Navara production to ensure that supply keeps up with the increased demand for Navara.
