Nissan 350Z - Japanese Performance Car of the Year for 2007

Nissan 350Z

The Nissan 350Z has received the award for Japanese Performance Car of the Year, 2007, heading off strong competition such as Mazda's RX-8, Mitsubishi's Evo IX and Subaru's Impreza.

Being awarded the prize, the 350Z was acclaimed for its “stunning looks, equipment levels and value for money.”

Chris Rees, Editor of Japanese Performance Car described why the Nissan took the No. 1 spot: “The Nissan 350Z sums up everything we like about Japanese performance cars. It’s a real sports car: a flexible yet rev-happy 3.5-litre V6 engine, an incredibly grippy chassis that gets better the more you extend it, a chunky steering feel and a bristling engine note. It doesn’t harm its cause that it’s also stunning to look at, well equipped, beautifully built and amazing value for money. It’s still the world’s best...”

The 350Z has been moving hearts and minds since its release with a modern take on classic Nissan Z styling cues and breath-taking, smile-provoking performance.  It quickly and strongly assumed status as the symbol of Nissan's renaissance with it's new generation of head-turning vehicles underpinned by Nissan's monotonous reliability.

Updated earlier this year to provide even more power from a higher revving engine and an enhanced exterior with new style front end and new look headlights and LED tail-lights, the 350Z remains a great looking sports car.  The interior was also reviewed to provide a more luxurious feel with repositioning of switches and dials, softer-feel materials, improved storage compartments, and speed sensitive power steering.
